New here and just saying hi..
« on: January 20, 2005, 03:01:36 pm »
I am new to this site but not new to arcade cabinets or MAME.
I have built 3 MAME cabinets to date and am lucky enough to work with arcade cabinets as my job.

Are there any other MAME builders/arcade collectors near me in S.E. England on this site..?

Thanks and happy gaming..!

After reading thro some of the other cabinet projects on this site I have to admit that I haven't really "built" a MAME cabinet but have converted arcade cabinets to run MAME....
I am sorting out pics for my home page, I will post a link when I get it done  :)

I have knocked together a simple homepage and placed some pics of my cabinets up. I'll try and get the rest up soon :)

Hi VGC,

I am just outside Reading in Berkshire. I haven't built a machine yet, with a little nipper around haven't got the time at the moment, maybe later in the year.  Bought the Project Arcade book though which is brilliant.

Do you sell parts where you work? like T-Molding, coin doors?  Shipping from Happs is gonna be a killer, so sourcing locally would be nice.

Well I'm from the SE of England (Crawley) but I'm living in Edinburgh now, so not too nearby.

If you're in the SE though, you may be interested to know that there's a Classic Gaming Expo coming up in Croydon in July:

http://www.cgexpo-uk.com

I might head down for it. Maybe we should try to get some BYOACers together for it.
