fire trap help
« on: November 03, 2004, 09:09:07 pm »
Im having trouble finding pictures are info of the cabinet for a game called fire trap. Im in the process of designing my controls on my cabinet and I would like to incorporate the necessary controls to play this game. I played this game all the time when I was a kid but the control layout has totally sliped my mind I think it had two joystick and was a one player only game. If you have any pics of this cabinet or no of a link to some please pass them along. Thanks

Attached is a pic of the panel which are in the cpanel packs you can get from [urlhttp://www.emu-france.com/?page=fichiers&idMachine=207]here[/url].

You could also look here which shows a different control panel to that attached.

thanks for the quick response. that looks just like the one I used to play, but I thought there were buttons on the sticks to shoot water with. does anyone know what the button layout is? im almost positive you have to use both sticks to move and I dont remember having to stop to shoot.

I THINK it used those black joys with the red fire-buttons on top...

Thanks for posting this! Another game to add to the list that requires a top-fire.
NO MORE!!

Id like to know for sure if it needs buttons on the joysticks before i build my cabinet. If I have to ad one of the Happ joysticks with a top fire button it will only be for this game. does anyone remember playing this game? the pics dont look like theres buttons on the joysticks.

The one you played may have had buttons, some may not have. If you remember button sticks then go with them.

this game had no buttons to fire. If you look at the Attrack mode, you had to push both joystick inward to shoot the water.

Heh, I have the PCB for that game.  I'll look in a bit to see if I have the manual to it.

Dude! That's an awesome little game.

The attract does show 2 ball tops and you push both sticks inward (towards one another) to shoot...

..you can also shoot with a button press tho.  :o

I'm gonna play this one some more.

Notice the guys death grunt sounds alot like Thomas's from Kung Fu Master.
