Pac-Man Help
« on: September 04, 2004, 12:35:45 am »
Hello all,

I recently started my Pac restoration, (thanks for the color help GameDork) and am currently working on the cp.  I dissasembled everything on the cp with detailed notes to assist on the reinstall.

Well I refurbed the joystick and put it back together from notes.  For some reason I just don't think the joystick is quite right.  I am wondering if anyone here has a sideshot of a Pac-Man joystick they can post.  This has been buggin me for a week now, and I've looked everywhere I know.

Any help is appreciated, and if nobody has a pic, maybe a technical schematic with exploded parts view.  Heck at this point, I'd be happy with a crayola drawing on a napkin.   :)

Thanks in advance, and Take care.

Well, it could be that the leafs aren't currently installed, but I don't seem to remember the stick "bottoming out" when you pushed in any direction.

The centering grommet looked to be in great shape, but I have no reference.  Here are a couple of pics, does everything look to be in the right order?

The plastic washer in the 2nd pic, does it originally go on top of the cpo or under the metal cp.  It was under when I took it apart.

Thanks for the help.

the picture of the installation is good. The plastic washer goes under the METAL CP of the original Pacman/Ms.Paman, if you look closely of the end of the top base so see, it higher than the plastic washer.

That big plastic washer goes under the control panel. That's all I can offer, maybe put it back together and see what it feels like

grumble, grumble
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.
