There are a zillion lists of this stuff, so I am not going to recap the whole thing.

I AM going to note one important thing.

Karate Champ uses dual 4-way joysticks (the player vs. player version needs 4 of them altogether). All the other dualjoy games (except Assault) use 8-ways (or 2-ways).

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Total Carnage (the cab I've got)  :)

In fact it's a 2-player simultaneous dual-stick game:

Sortinfo can be useful but isn't entirely accurate. For instance, it has Front Line,Tin Star and Wild Western as dual joystick games. All three of them use one 8-way stick along with an 8-way mechanical rotary dial. The rotary dial did in fact use four microswitches like an 8-way stick but thats about the only thing they have in common with an 8-way joystick. The only reason sortinfo has them included in the list is because MAME itself categorizes them as dual joystick games. MAME pretty much had to do this do to the fact that the rotary dial is a microswitched based control so technically it "can" be replaced with an 8-way but in reality it is damn near impossible to play these games with two 8-ways. #1 reason.. the rotary dial also had an integrated pushdown fire button. #2 the rotary dial has one (sometimes two if pointed diagonally) microswitches pressed at all times so if you were to use a joystick you would have to hold the stick in whatever direction and "roll" the stick  clockwise/counterclockwise to get it to act like a rotary dial. This leaves you with no hands or fingers left to pust down the fire button AND (in Frontline only) a second grenade button. Unless of course your an octopuss. ::) . Because of the fact that these rotary dials always have at least one microswitch engaged it makes the controllers kind of tricky to set up in MAME. When I put one in my first cab I had to install a switch between the ground so that I could actually shut off all microswitches and then toggle it on and off as I was setting it up in the MAME config menu. Thankfully it works like a charm and I'm finally able to play Front Line my favorite game. :)  Alright I'm kinda getting off topic but the moral of the story is take sortinfo for what it is which is a VERY general and somewhat inaccurate sorting tool.
Oh and you can add the game "Screwloose" to the small list of dual 4-way joystick games.
