  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hey all,

Built a new pedestal style 4 player arcade after having previously done a Retropie bartop project.  My kids love LED light up buttons so I ordered 4 sets off of Geek Pub an installed them.  When I went to wire them up I was able to get all of the buttons lit up but my PC (using Bigbox as front end) will not recognize any inputs from the joysticks or buttons.  Bigbox recognizes the Geek Pub controllers when I go to setup.  I even installed JoyToKey and likewise, the joysticks get recognized but no inputs are registering.

When I went to Geek Pub site it said that this was likely due to improper wiring and to disconnect all but one stick and one button.  Did that to no avail.  I'm at a bit of a loss and frustrated at this point so wanted to see if anyone here had any suggestions or encounters with this problem before.

I should add that I am just using the encoders from Geek Pub, I did not purchase an IPac or anything to that effect.

How many wires are going to each button? There should be 4 with with LEDs instead of the normal 2 for a regular button.
