Well the thing you are all forgetting is... it's a 3d printer.... When/if the gears wear out you just print new ones. There isn't a terrible amount of tension on the star wars yoke, so any wear would be from it getting a lot of use. The exact tooth size of the gears in those yokes would be difficult to replicate on a typical 3d printer, but the gears don't have to be exact replicas to feel similar.
Dropping down to .2mm nozzle will increase detail for gears though I think .4 may be fine.

Maybe use aluminum instead? though welding that with a mig isn't easy.
I think the case and trigger grips could be printed with ABS.
multiple shells to give it strength plus you can vapor smooth them.
yes it may not feel exactly like the real thing but....i've literally only seen one of these machines in the wild as an adult so honestly unless I was standing next to both to be able to compare, i doubt I or anyone else who plays it would know the difference.
and if I did manage to build one with 3d printed parts, it's getting used by me, my kids, and friends.
not your average arcade idiot who beats on the machines.
someone starts abusing my stuff, they are getting a boot in the arse.
