Tell me if this is a bad idea - thinking of replacing my player 2 Ultimarc Magstik with one of them cheap Ultimarc flight sticks so that I can have a fire button on the stick for games like Gorf.

Not sure if it's justified just for 1 game - I"m sure there are others but I can't think of any at the moment.

Feature creep. Flight stick games play just fine with regular controls.

Really depends.  Gorf plays fine with a normal stick and panel buttons.  Tron, however, needs a trigger stick.  Almost impossible to work the spinner, fire, and move at the same time without a trigger stick.  Any two stick tank games really need a trigger stick as well.

Satan's Hollow palys fine with Joystick (4-way or 8-way. I use 2 buttons for the direction on my panel.

If it's your panel, do what you want, but I've avoided a flight stick on my panel because people are intimidated walking up to my cabinet when it has dual 8 way joysticks and a trackball. If I added a flight stick, it would be like 3 steering wheels in a car and 2 gas pedals and 7 shifters.
