Well usually things do not break magically when you wake up one morning, there had to be a change somewhere (OS, driver....)
Unfortunately I don't use Wiimotes so I do not have any skills with the whole Touchmote/Drivers thing.

But, if you can't make it work even when using an old DemulShooter release ( Before v10, the ones where Wiimotes had to be chosen as Xinput controler in the GUI) it would really point to a driver issue

I really need some help, demulshooter is working for model 2, but i cant get it to work with demul and sega naomi games. It looks like its working, but both guns are shooting.

I attached a debug log, really confused by this. I just cant figure out why both gun's are shooting.
I have some pictures as well of my settings.

My demul version is april 28 2018.

Hi, argon, just wanted to mention that like hyo2012, i also have an arcade analog gun and also have the same issues with the max range of the gun.
you mentioned that at some point you will add calibration support, which is great and i'm looking forward to that.
For the time being, do you know which user made the modifications to support the analog guns limited range? i'd like to try that version.
Edit: managed to compile for myself.

Indeed, I started this part a few month ago but with the whole...well real life "situation" it stays unfinished for a few different reasons
I don't know when I'll be able to end this and update the app...but I really need to finish it as I can't update DemulShooter for any new games (good thing they were no new releases the past few months) as the code is all broken for now  :P

Anyone has problem with time crisis 5?
with demulshooter its random work for me, and random not (the crosshair is stuck on uppter left side).

Bro, it is a great tool I used it for try 2 mice for player one and two but the pointer stuck in the corner for  both players how can fix that while buttons work great from both mice can you help with that  Thanks.. Picture attached!

You can't: regular mice are not compatible.
You have to use a device outputing absolute coordinates

hey guys, I am a noob to demul shooter.  I am trying to get it working properly,  first with sega model 2 emulation.  I was trying to get it going with house of the dead last night, I had no luck.   If I left the raw input = 0 in model 2 I could get the gun ( aimtrak ) to track , however when pulling the trigger it would only reload.  If I pressed " z " on the keyboard it would fire.  how can I fix this ?   

Also If i put model2  raw input = 1   , which from what I read is what I need to do for both guns to work, the gun would not track at all.   

any help is greatly appreciated .

Did you read the Wiki for proper setup ?
Model2 instructions are here : https://github.com/argonlefou/DemulShooter/wiki/Model2
But read the basics before if you didn't do it yet

Then, if you have issues, run DemulShooter with an additionnal "-v" option to create a logfile that you will be able to share here

This behavior is almost certainly due to the fat that DemulShooter hack was not correctly done (for an unknown reason)
This is the normal behavior for Hotd2 with Demul : mouse buttons are working for both player at the same time.

Your logs are fine, Demul is recognized as the good version, your Aimtraks are detected for P1 & P2.....now to find what is blocking DemulShooter is another question....
It may be Launchbox if you're using it (did you try emulator/game + Demulshooter directly without any frontend ?), some settings on Windows (admin rights enabled ?)

I did try it with no front end, just a batch file and same result. So whats odd and im not sure whats different, I had another instance or install of demul but the same demul version, however the plugins must be different, that one worked fine. Both application shows the april 28 2018 version for both, but the plugins were different.

I set both up awhile ago, and someone online helped me, so i have no clue whats different between those two instances or the plugins. If i point the problematic demul, to the other ones plugin folders, it seems to work fine. Unfortunately i get more stuttering with those plugins and it does not exit rocketlauncher gracefully, which makes it less then ideal. I unfortunately dont know enough about demul plugins, I will keep reading, but any thoughts would be appreciated. Me trying the other installations plugins was purely just a guess to try something.

Both demul instances were using paddemul, but i grabbed the paddemul dll from the old working instance and overwrote the current instance i had properly setup and been using, and it seemed to fix the issue. The emulator still worked well and demul shooter still worked.

I wish i could figure out what the issue is, these appear to be dll files, so im not sure how to view them, or why one would work and one wouldnt, or whats different between the two in order to get to the bottom of this.

Well, great news  :applaud:

As for the why....you can't "view" dll files, these are just hex datas containing compiled code.
That why changing the dll file caused the error : DemulShooter change code in the dll (in memory) but at an exact offset. Different dll means a different place to change code

You can't. There is no DemulShooter / 2p support for Blue Estate

Yes you don't need DemulShooter to play this game solo with a lightgun, it's working out of the box
Second player on the other hand needs physical gamepad plugged

Even if I can make this thing work (still not have acces to my cab config and it's not working on my laptop), this emulator will be troublesome to handle for a long term oeriod as there are many releases coming.
A better way would be to  add it to the source code as it's open source, but I can't do it all by myself as a good knowledge of the emulator core code is necessary

Just quoting myself about it: some early tests I ran make me think this will work by simply emulating X360 devices with Aimtraks (just like it has been implemented for Far Cry for example)

Pro :
- It will work with all releases as long as they keep supporting X360 gamepad the same way they do now

Cons :
- Need of the virtual X360 driver from Touchmote working
- Wiimote would not work with Demulshooter (they already are emulated X360 devices)

Hi Argon, with the latest Teknoparrot version we now able to play Far Cry (2 players) without emulating x360 device etc, on the controller configuration menu simply choose player 1 as Aimtrack#1 and player 2 as Aimtrack#2 and then configure all those buttons, same thing with Alien Extermination, Resident Evil the arcade, Rambo etc

Well, as I said years ago, that's how things should evolve: TP development is alive and evolving so it's a good thing that they add lightgun support, instead of waiting for a tool like Demulshooter.
Hopefully RPCS3 will do the same thing one day

Yes and I dont think RPCS3, demul, PSCX2 etc will do the same thing as Tecknoparrot

Any way you have done such a very great job so far...  I really appreciate it so much Argon.. keep the good work.
