I voted for the TMNT resto.  Malenko, you need to do this for a living bro.  Well done.

MK3Fan, nice job as well.

Good luck to you both on the win!

I voted TMNT, but that's just a personal game preference.  Excellent work on the Ms Pac, too.

The extra bondo work on TMNT sold it for me. Ms. Pacs were originally painted, so new stencil work would have really knocked Ms. Pac out of the park as a restoration.

Agreed on the Ms. Pacman point. (Although I'm going to do the same on my Super Pac - no stenciling for me).

I thought some MsPacs came decaled from the factory?

Towards the end of the run, I think. I've never seen one.

It's beautiful cab, nonetheless. MK3FAN is good peoples. But that bondo work on TMNT puts it over the top. For me.

Weird that Janky wasn't in the resto category.  Then it would have had three and not been in violation of your own rules.  ;)

Janky is as much a restore as Chance's DK, or the Raiden. Those games are not restoring the cabinet to originality as a restoration, but as a modification, different and custom artwork, new parts, etc.  A unanimous decision was made between us to separate the actual restorations from having to compete with the others. Only seemed fair.

These categories and decisions were made by the UCA committee. Many of you chose to step down or aside from participating in it this year when you could have had a say in how it was run. If you feel that you want to be involved next year there will be an opportunity for you. This is all in fun, no one is getting paid, no decisions are being made for nefarious reasons, and there are no prizes at the end. If you feel you don't agree with anything you can simply click the little "x" in the top corner of your browser window.

If you have questions, or feedback on how any part of the 2015 UCA's are being run, please send us a PM to this account rather then inciting debate in the threads.

Thank you,

Why? You don't even follow your own rules...

Quote
The Rules:
7.As the the nominations are received, project types with 3 or more nominations will be given their own category, the remainder will go in a general category for voting. So, if 4 bartops, 3 Cocktails, 2 v-pins, 1 restoration, 2 minis, 2 dedicated uprights, and 6 uprights get nominated. we would have 4 categories: a Bartop, a Cocktail, an Upright, and a "General". Categories will be decided on by the UCA board after the close of the nomination process.

You're welcome.

While I agree with the sentiments expressed, I believe this conversation should continue in the after action thread as to not detract from this year's nominations.

Hard to choose so I voted on personal preference - Ms. Pac Man.  Both were really well done.

TMNT by a tiny margin. If the Ms Pac had been stenciled instead of stickered then it would have swung my vote the other way.
