Nice find. I like the idea of a pin in a table

Make lots of rectangles.  Paint them blue, white intermittently.  Make "robot legs".  Done?

I get the homage, but that's about it.  Aside from the color and graphic choice I don't see R2-D2.

Enh. It's one of those things that look better in someone else's house, not mine.

How in the ---fudgesicle--- is this abortion popular?!

Quote from site: The Droid features an authentic Star Wars pinball payfield housed in the body of the daring and loyal R2D2.

So you're telling me they raped a PF from a DE SW - which is a pretty damn good game - and turned it into this non playing, light up at a button push, worseless lump of garish ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- and then had the brass ones to strap a $10,000 price tag on it...and ---smurfing--- Milan gave this hot garbage a design award.

I can't even.

Even, EVEN, if it actually was still a functional pinball it would be a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- mod because you lose the DMD but if you'll notice there isn't even a plunger and the flippers don't seem to do anything either, it only has like 3 damn buttons and they seem to be hard wired to bump the R2, flash the lights, and play a tune.  ---fudgesicle---.

Seriously.  ---fudgesicle---.

Wouldn't it make more sense as a Gonk droid?

They could have just left the pinball part out and simply made a flat top that had a pattern/design scheme like R2's dome.

That would have been a better use of the space than a pinball playfield, that's for damn sure.

...meh, dead pins can't say "no". Necrophilia at best, not quite rape...
