Hey Da Old Ma,n If KY invaded Canada do you think we would win? Our invasion would start in Calgary where we would take all our 4x4 trucks and run over all of their hybrids and finish them off with our cold steel balls. They would surely surrender after that.We would pollute their clean cities with cigarette smoke, empty beer cans, and chicken bones. Our second wave We would overload their national healthcare system with expensive cancer and cholesterol drugs.

Yeah?  How's that white paint on 1600 Pennsylvania doing for ya?

War of 1812

As far as the paint goes, I read they are going with a darker color scheme. The white is just way too hard to keep clean.

Right now it's warmer where i am (Calgary) then in both Chicago and New York.

http://www.accuweather.com/en/north-america-weather

Besides, with the One-Two punch of Celine Dion and Bieber we're both bankrupting your middle class with overprice concert tickets and destroying your youth. Nothing can stop us now. Together with the Progressive California we're going to annex the rest of the West Coast.

Now now don't get snippy. I was only messing with you. Actually if KY did go to war with Canada we would lose because we are all overweight ,most everyone smokes, and get out of breath easy. Lets not turn this into a USA VS Canada thing. The other 49 states were innocent. You know i'm just playin Chance. KY could invade Arizona instead. But probably not because it's hot and most fat people don't like hot weather.

Western Canada is like the Old West, bro. You need to invade the Greater Toronto Area. Your opponent would be Mike Boss hiding behind a fort of shoeboxes and mousetraps, armed with pop guns Rick's gonna get CNC'ed as soon as he finds someone to do them.

Well, eventually medical marijuana will be legalized in all 50 states then, we wouldn't be able to afford Beiber and Celene Dion tickets, because we'll spend all our spare money on pot, and we will be too high to fight anyone. KY will be the big winner because it's our #1 cash crop behind tobacco, but it's a close second. It's a win win for KY farmers either way.

No Yotsuya, Mike boss kind of scares me with his obsession of catching mice.I'm kind of lazy if i'm gonna invade somebody it will probably be Ohio. It's just a few miles away and gas is still kind of expensive, so I would rather stay close. Besides Yotsuya the buildings in Toronto are way too tall, too many places for sniper nests. I'm looking for more of a guerrilla type conflict. so I can hide behind behind trees and such.

Feel free, invade away.  We'll just wait till July/August when it's over 100 at 8am and doesn't dip back below 100 till after about 2am... and you'll all just melt and flow away.   >:D

No Slippyblade I don't think i'm gonna invade anyone. It's way too much work and i'm working too many hours as it is to try and fit an invasion in, it's just too much. I think i'll surf the internet and play video games instead. it's more my speed. Anyway ammunition way is too expensive and LT can't fit it in his schedule. (he's from KY too).

you only need 3 "action" buttons , 2 if you dont play gun smoke.  Is buying the 60 in1 making this a $210 build?

Probably more with artwork. More like $260. Which is about right because I always underestimate at least 30%. To be honest Malenko. I don't think it would be possible to do it for $150 only reason it is reasonably cheap is I had a bunch of stuff already. So I guess I misrepresented.

no harm in having a goal of $150, especially if you have the parts on hand. Art is much more expensive than people think it'll be.  I think its a neat little build and Im sure the kid will love it.

I got my vinyl and gave the paint several days to cure.So I brought in the house to let it warm up a bit and I'll put the vinyl on tomorrow. The rest of the parts are supposed to be here tomorrow.I think that camo may be desert style because it's not very green, although it will look fine.

Update: 12/14/14

I got the camo side art on.The first side was a ---smurfette---.Then, I read on the site that it was not air release vinyl. So on the second side I lightly wet it down and it went on slick.I Also, I printed L.T's art up as PDF template to mark my buttons. I drilled the holes and cut out the recessed area for the joystick. I lost my router wrench, and I couldn't get my slot cutter out,so I cut the area with a forstner bit and chiseled the rest of it out.It didn't turn out too bad for a hack job. This evening I cut the monitor hole out and made braces to hold the monitor in place and I put the diamond plate on the bottom front.

Hey guys, I got the vinyl on and the control panel basically finished, except for a few minor details.Well I busted my $150 budget. The $150 was a possibility until I messed up the plug n play.My finished dollar amount was between $240 and $250 not counting freebies or extra parts I had laying around. So if a person was trying to build a cabinet without any parts of materials it would be nearly impossible for less than $250.I could however, have probably done it using a computer I already, for probably around $180  I decided on the Jamma because my sister in law's crazy kids would have it screwed up in 15 minutes and I didn't want to have to go over there and fix it.With the Jamma it is basically a bulletproof system.
To save money I used a cheap remote control Christmas light switch with 3 outlets, instead of a smart strip. Also I'm gonna use a set of cheap amplified computer speakers, and hopefully it will sound halfway decent.
Whats Left:
1.Mount the power supply
2.hook up the jamma harness
3.Put a few pieces of trim on
4.Build a small faux coin door with a coin button.

I was down to the wire I got it completely finished. I added Lexan the corner protectors and painted them to look like metal and I added screws to look like rivets. My nephew was excited, I even got a hug out of the deal which made it worth it. He is a good kid.I didn't get a chance to take many final pictures.I was scrambling trying to get it all finished. I wanted to take a picture of the back.I did a pretty neat wiring job.I'll stop by after christmas and take some good pics with my DSLR. So anyway another one done. Here are some pictures

Christmas morning

Thanks guys,Your help was tremendous.Especially LT and JDfan. I hope he does remember it.The kid's biological dad basically abandoned him. His mom and everybody else helps take care of him. She recently got married and the little boy calls him daddy now. They both work hard trying to get by. The boy is tight with my little girl they are best buddies.
