Got a c120 coin mech that outputs pulse on different lines accordibg to what coin inserted.

Bought a credit board (klingon 1.1) pictured below. Didnt come with a manual and cant find one online.

I have faith in you byoac community to break the disappointing recent series of ducks (english cricketing phrase) that ive been having!

Cummon chaps. Show a fellow hampered cab builder some love. :)

Hmmmm. Ok, got the dip switch settings thanks eds, but absolutely no idea how to wire the ciin acceptor to the credit board...

Any credit board engineers in the house?

God, this is frustrating. Can't find any manual anywhere - so have no idea how to wire this enigmatic lump of ****. The 12V, Grnd and P1 pulse seem straightforward - but no idea how to wire from coin mech to credit board. Reading a namoi manual - see you wire to validator A pins, but can't find a pin schematic anywhere :(

Rubbish.

If it wasn't for all of those trekies, I feel the search would be easier to search for. Most mentions refer to a later model of pcb.  Do you know what game that was originally used in?    have you looked at http://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals/ or that websites forum?

If you are just trying to wire from the coin mech to the credit board, can't you just use a multimeter and poke around until you register some creds?

There's an IDC type connector that goes from the C120 mech to the credit board. There is then a 0.156" KK Molex connector on the credit board that handles power and the coin output signal etc, I'll get you the pinout for that tomorrow once I inspect a cab.

Thanks chaps + brilliant Franco!

the c120 has a 10 pin out - the credit board a 15 pin in - hence the confusion!

Can you not wire it directly to an ipac or are you not using this in a PC. If you are wiring up to an ipac or similar each accepted coin just sends a pulse that you can set up as a key press. This is how I have done it in the past on my jukebox. I used a chopped Hard Drive Ribbon cable to connect the coin mech to the keyboard encoder (Ipac or similar).

Thanks barry. Thats how I have my coin mech wired atm - direct to the minipac. But am looking to use the credit board to send a number of pulses depending on whivh coin inserted. E.g. 10p sends one pulse, 50p sends 5. Hence the credit board.
