400+ machines, now with some posted in the FS/FT section!
« on: October 20, 2013, 11:06:19 pm »
As some of you may know, I am currently working on some machines.

I've got a good mix of standups, cocktail cabinets, cabaret, and I think there is even a few 2-player "pyramid" cocktails (not sure of the name, but I think its made by Nintendo. There's also quite a few pinball cabinets that we'll be turning into virtuals, a bunch of racing cockpits, a machine with a helmet that you wear, a couple of jukeboxes, and just a whole slew of "other" stuff.

I'll post pics of the machines, and what we're doing to them.

Some of the pics may be pretty boring, but you never know if someone can get some use out of them for artwork placement, original control panel layout, or something similar.

Pretty much everything you see in the pics is for sale, parts or whole, so if something jumps out at you, please PM me.

So here are the 1st 2 pics.

I'll call this "room 1".

This picture is of about 1/3 of the room. In the background is the first machine we finished. We had to swap out the control panel from 2 button + trackball to 4 button + joystick. It has a Jamma board in it, with a smaller 19" (I think) monitor in it.

This is one of the many antique games. We'll be restoring these, but I'm not 100% sure if they are for sale or not.

Do you have any Rygar or R-Type cabinet(s) in your 400+ machines?

Can you give me an example?

<edit> A quick Google image search shows multiple cabinet styles. Are you looking for a specific shape/size cabinet? Or specific artwork?</edit>

I'm looking for the marquees because it seems impossible to find a scan of a Rygar marquee that was never cut and the scans for R-Type marquee are just plain bad. I would scan them and then use them in arcade marquee light boxes. I could also order a few more marquees that are in good shape, such as Black Tiger.

I would also very much appreciate photos of SNK Neo-Geo arcade machines if you have any, especially the backs and the speaker panels of the 2-slot and 4-slot models. Do you have any Neo-Geo MVS carts and their mini-marquees?

I think we could use more photos of your 400+ machines.  ;D

Yvan256, Have you looked at the MAMELayPlus site?

They have a lot of fairly high-res marquees (samples attached) and embedded MAME layouts.

I was thinking you were referring to a specific style cabinet.

Now that I know you're looking for a specific a marquee, I'll take a look for you.

I'm heading out there Saturday, so I'll snap some more pics.

Let me know if you want me to scan it. I have an A3 scanner, but I haven't had it plugged in for quite some time, so I can't promise it's operational.

A collection of 400+ machines has to have a collection of loose boards too.  Do you?

I am located in Sarver (ironic, isn't it?), but the machines are all located in downtown Pittsburgh.

There are piles and piles of boards, scattered through-out 4 or 5 different rooms.

I'll see whats for sale and what isn't.

I didn't really want this to become a FS/FT thread. Once I get some more info on the stuff that's actually for sale, and what I have...I'll make a post in the proper forum.

For now, since I'm not selling anything, I guess its OK to keep posting your comments here.

That has to be the best uncut Rygar marquee I have ever seen. And it seems to be in very good shape, too. I would be extremely grateful for a high resolution scan!  :)

edit: nope, the top has been cut. See what I mean when I say it's impossible to find one that has not been cut? A high resolution scan would still be very useful because it's usually the bottom that has been cut.

I'd really like some CPS2 games, street fighter, puzzle fighter, any of the VS games except MvC1; so if you can see if he has those, it'd be swell. Also a NeoGeo mobo and some games. My buddy who lives in Pittsburgh said he didnt mind picking things up and shipping them to me, so one less thing for you to worry about if you do decide to sell stuffs.  :afro:

Here's a couple of quick pics of 2 puck bowlers I'm refurbishing.

The first one is a 1949 I think? It was the very first puck bowler, and started the fad.

This is a puck bowler as well. It needs a bit of wiring to be redone because the wires prevent the pucks from returning back to the front of the machine.

Not that I saw, but I did not see all the has been seen yet.

Make sense? Ha ha ha.

He's got another warehouse that I haven't even seen yet.
I didn't see one in the warehouse, but I may have missed it, or there may be one in another warehouse.

Can you provide a pic of one so I know what to look for?
