One type of cabinet theme I don't think has been done before...

.. is an "adult" themed cabinet.  Granted, adult arcade games are basically crap.  But I think an adult themed cabinet could be an interesting challenge to pull off.  Could have a "red light district" sort of theme, sexy female silhouette cutouts, that sort of thing...

Anyone know if this has ever been done/attempted?

I have seen some rather risque multicade art. But overall, I wouldn't suggest building up an actual adult theme cab from scratch. It is a bit difficult to explain. Perhaps try to obtain and fix up one of the old Casino Strip laserdisc games instead. Just as naughty, but there is a huge difference between "here is some vintage porn, what a collector's piece" and "I made my own porn".

Or, to get more to my original thought, it is really the difference between "Yep, that is an honest to goodness vintage 1982 Swedish Penis Pump, isn't that a hoot" and "I was unhappy with the Penis Pumps available on the market today, thus I designed my own".

You ain't got a hair on your sack if you don't make a cab based on japanese tentacle pr0n replete with a big octopus arm as a chair (it's a sitdown viewlix style cab of course).
