I came across the template's for Haruman's single player Degenatron on page 11 of this thread and was curious if someone can confirm that these will be the correct one I need before I start working on it!

If someone can post the marquee png and bottom control panel png that would be MUCH appreciated!

Just got my kit in the mail and a couple questions before I actually start gluing.

1.  There is a slot for each of the two control panel batons.  However, the baton itself isn't long enough to fill the whole slot.  Do you slide the baton closer to the front of the cabinet or the back of the cabinet before gluing it or does it not really matter?  See attached picture for what I mean...

2.  I understand that the back panel is held either by a hinge or velcroing.  But what is that back slot for?  It's not as deep as the other five so I'm not sure what it's for.  See the other picture for what I'm talking about.

Just center the batons in the slot, doesn't need to be super precise on those.

The long batons go in the shallow slots on the back, they just prevent the back door from getting pushed in.

Wow!  Thanks for the quick, response.   I may have been overthinking the batons because I'm still a bit unsure how the plexi fit works (thought I saw one post talking about wedging the plexi between the back of the speaker board and the control panel.

So I do have some threaded inserts I've been playing with, they mount from the bottom and you just screw into them.  I press them into the control panels with an arbor press.

I'm considering making them a standard feature (or maybe an optional one), it would add a little cost due to the hardware.

My kit showed up a few weeks ago.  Looks awesome.  Artwork printed and applied, will finish wiring the cp tonight.  Mobo, cpu, memory, and PSU should be here on Saturday.  I'll post pics once its mostly together.

I was thinking about attaching the back panel using only 4 magnets, no hinge.  Basically I would attach two vertical wooden handles (you'll understand when you see the theme) to the back of the door so I can just pull the door off the back and set it aside  if I need to get into the machine.  The magnets need to be strong enough to hold the door on by themselves, though.

Yeah, thats why i haven't pulled the trigger yet.  The magnetic latches I saw at the local hardware places all seemed very weak so I wanted to find something slightly heavier duty than the standard ones.

What button size would I have to purchase for Haruman's Ultimate widesreen Bartop? Does Sanwa sell Led joysticks and Led buttons that could be used in it?

It's designed for Sanwa JLF (x2) and 30mm Sanwa OSBN (screw type, x 16) and 24mm Sanwa OSBN (screw type, x 6).

Don't know if there are LED versions of those available or not.  If not, I can always change the button / joystick holes to what you need.

My first post here. I was much more active on a Pinball cabinet sites but then decided to go ahead and build my own arcade bartop cab. I was a longtime arcadecontrols.com lurker - never registered on forum but always found my answers here through a google search
Anyhow, I want to thank HaRuMan for the CNC widescreen plans which I intend to cut on my own. Frankly, I'd go straight ahead and buy a pre-cut cab from you, but I live on the other side (Europe) and the shipping would cost me a fortune and money is tight now eh. So I decided to find a local cnc guy and try my luck.
Since I haven't bought a cab directly from you, I still hope I'm eligible for some forum help if I come across any "gotchas"

OK quick question, would I have to alter the plans for a 18mm thickness of MDF sheet? I think the only change should be the thickness of routed holes (for the horisontal plates) on the inside panels?

Managed to find this thread through the wonders if google and I would like to thank you for openly distributing the cad file.

I've recently gotten access to a CNC machine and I am hoping to get one of these built up.

I'm hoping to extend the width by 10 cm or so, so I can fit 2 players and a 19" dell monitor. Not too worried about being "cramped" as the target audience are my kids

I did see that, but it's too wide for me. I want to put a 5:4 screen in and I feel the WS version will look too odd with excess bezel on the sides

I'll definitely post pics once it's all done (it'll be a while, I need to try and learn how to modify this in solidworks or something equivalent). Configuring the retropie atm to make sure it's perfect once it goes in to the bartop.

I think I'm also going to want to modify the panel a bit so it's Sanwa OBSF30/OBSN30 and JLF compatible with the correct 25mm height.

After spending a few hours yesterday trying to muck around in solidworks, I realised even though I have access to a CNC, I have no way of being able to edit the file
