WTB Wells Garden 4900 or equal monitor for TRON
« on: September 15, 2012, 08:27:39 pm »
I switched out the chassis board with a known good one but I got the same picture on the tube.  I tried the monitor adjustments but they did not work.  The last thing to switch is the tube.  Anyone got one in the Savannah area that I can buy?  If you are willing to ship let me know how much and maybe we can make a deal.  PM me and we can talk.

FYI the game plays blind.  I got sound and can add coins and play the game but the picture looks like below.

I think you should a try a CAP KIT first (shuld be less than $20 for the kit). You need to a soldering iron to replace and solder the new parts. Just do one at a time if you want to tackle it.

if you replaced the chassis with a good one caps wont help(unless the other chases is also bad) but i would start with new caps then check fly-back and look for burnt resistors on the pcb and the neck board
good luck

Go to the thrift store and buy a couple 19" tv sets and swap out the picture tube.
