I had another couple over the other day and we were not in the mood to play board games... so we fired up Fusion Frenzy 2 on the xbox. bad graphics, terrible "story", but lots of the mini games on there are freaking awesome.

We should make a list of some of the more recent arcade style titles that are great.
Here's a few I've played recently:
The Hoard on ps3
Maniac Mansion Deluxe on PC [holy memories, batman!!!]
Avatar Golf [xbox indie game]
I Maed a game with zombies init1!!!! or however you spell it [xbox indie]

I like games that do not start you off with 20 mins of back story and then 30 minutes of tutorials. Even on the biggest controllers there's not so many buttons you can't figure them out.

And as a parent of two, now fully grown daughters, I can tell you that girls do indeed play video games.

My daughter is a huge gamer (thanks to me no doubt) and enjoys gaming more than her girlfriends, in fact she usually gets bored about their "shopping" talk and can't understand why they are not more into gaming.
