Wow javeryh, nice response!

Any chance in finding monitor size for Space Duel??

I tried your links, but didn't see SpaceDuel listed; http://files.flipperspill.no/Support/Arcade/Manuals/S/

I've got a PC monitor in the cab now, running MAME.  I think it's a 17".  I would love to know the largest I could fit in there (height, width, depth), but I haven't been able to quickly figure that out.

Space Duel was a 19" monitor. Recall that 19" arcade monitor != 19" PC monitor. Your best bet is always to measure.

If you want to find manuals for games, check the Restoration Page In The Wiki it has every major source for arcade documentation that I am aware of.

Thanks CheffoJeffo.  I can measure the cabinet...it's finding a comparable monitor (external measurements) that seem to have me baffled.  I don't necessarily want to decase anything if not needed and I don't think I want to throw a wide screen in there...

I guess I want something simple and cheap, and as big as will fit.

This is a 19inch Viewsonic in an arcade mounting frame in my Space Duel Cab. If the monitor hadn't been free, I would have gone with a 21inch PC monitor. The viewsonic wouldn't fit until I decased it, without stripping it I could just barely fit a 17 inch in the opening. As you can see the Viewsonic tube is just a bit to small for the 19inch arcade bracket, the zipties just keep the tube in place, the weight is carried by the top 2 bolts.

Jeffo, Don't weap for my vector, when I rescued the cab it had been completely stripped and was scheduled for a sledgehammer/dumpster treatment. I do plan on fully restoring it to its vector glory if I ever manage to get the monitor. None of my mame "modifcations" are permanent and can be reversed, I've taken measures to ensure this.

I believe that the tube number on the sanyo ez end in 51 which technically would be a 20 inch tube,
Tube number ending in 48 is a 19 inch tube
This is off the top of my head so don't hold me to it.
Both tubes the 19 (48) and 20 (51) should fit into a standard monitor frame as the mounts are identical

Yes... the Sanyo 20-EZ is...well... 20".

It's not a Sanyo 19-EZ afterall.
