I agree it's nice, but I do always find it very strange when someone goes to elaborate efforts on the cabinet, then uses an xarcade stick. Its's like custom building a motorcycle cruiser from scratch, then just throwing a lawnmower motor in.
Understandable though, the guy might be good at woodwork, but have no clue about interfacing arcade controls with a computer...the xarcade would be an easy inexpensive answer. Not defending it, I can just understand it

At the very least, buy the X-Arcade and transplant everything into the cab, don't use X-Arcade box itself.
Good unique theme, I give it also some people say git rid of X-Arcade, but think of it as a best way of making it different instaed of the plain old x-arcade stickers.
That cab looks Rusty. He should re do it. I do like the X Arcade though. Nice implementation.

I have no idea how I didn't see this forum when I built my first mame cabinet....and then the Frankencade. I take full responsibility for the x-arcade...it was a lazy, drop it in and go solution. I thought the warranty was decent--but having now replaced 3 of those joysticks...well, let's just say it's lost the allure.I plan to build up my own replacement.Love the forum---been looking around. Great stuff everybody!Doug
