nervious about my health
« on: June 26, 2009, 04:13:21 pm »
This used to happen weekly. now about 1 time a month.
My youngest daughter saw it for the first time last month.
been going on for a year or two.

I will take a drag off a smoke. cough. and before I know it I pass out!
not pain full at all. ( it used to be) Now it happens to fast.
Last episode was last night. i was running a bath for my self.
I love taking a hot bath. Listen to a audio book and relaxe to a book. smoke a fat cigar and relaxer with a beer.

I hate to say this but it is the truth. I was running a bath ,taking a crap at the same time. ( 1:00 am)  I was listening to a audio book. smoking my stooge . next thing I know I am slumped over. stooge is laying in my undies, tub is half full.
WTF? I have a head ache from hell!
now I am nervous.
I quit POT (2) years ago. I thought it went away.
now its back with a vengeance.

any one went through this?

Doctors prognosis may be scary, but potentially leaving your family when you could have gotten professional help is just dumb, and selfish.

That's a symptom of oxygen deficiency at it's worst.

I smoke too and have felt the changes over just a short period time that need attended to immediately. Like QUIT SMOKING !!
Light exercise and all that good rot to get the oxygen and blood flowing good again, yada, yada, yada.

You know the symptoms, you know some of the things you can do about it....... the choice is yours.

I do think I am going in for a bad time. If I do not make it, I am ready.

Sure...... but it's the family that will still suffer.

I plan on seeing one.
After I get everything in a row.
What scares me.... The only thing that scares me is WHAT If this happens when i am driving? It did 1 time. I felt it coming. I was able to pull over.

My younger brother has had it happen to him 2 times this year.
he is 7 years younger than I.

My older brother has it often. But he has that (TICK decease in AZ) I think it is called mountain fever.

I will have it checked out. But I am not about to go broke to fix something unfixable
My mother raised 4 of us on her own.
I saw the fathers roll. I will be a provider till the end

I kinda get the whole not dumping money into something unfixable thing. But it could be a semi-easy fix. If they have to tinker with your ticker and it buys you an extra 10-15 years, well thats that much longer you can be the bread winner. So are you smoking cigarettes too or just cigars? You probably shouldn''t be inhaling those stogies. I have a coughing fit and almost pass out if I accidentally inhale in a drunken stupor.
You probably remember me from such films as `The Revenge of Abe Lincoln' and `The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West'

It's a very common problem that's easily cured.

All you need to do is go for a long drive on an open highway, preferably along a big body of water or cliff, while smoking a pack of cigarettes.

Lung cancer.  I'll put $1 on it.  That's exactly how my father in law was getting.

He's made it over a year but he has defied the odds.

That damned smoking thread in politics and religion took the fun out of it for me.  I've had one cuban and that was a special occasion, and I didn't even really enjoy that.   :-\

yep I started that thread!

If you watched the thread about tobacco over taxed thread in Politics N Religion.
I never quit smoking.
I found a Pipe tobacco that taste just like cigarettes. It is called criss cross.
$18.00 a 1 pound bag. 200 tubes of El Ray king size filters for $2.00 each
total = 2 cartens of smoke $22.00 a week
I do inhale a cigar when I smoke one. To make maters worse I even hold it for a LONG time

You've got a level of denial coupled with defeat that is equally as disturbing as your symptoms.

Whether or not it's asthma reborn, you must stop now, because even if it is, smoking and asthma don't go well together.

I applaud your efforts to get your "ducks in a row," but this is no time to get cold feet on doctors and such.  And I assume you have gone, correct?
I'll exercise patience when you stop exercising stupidity.

Don't stress your kids with this until you know the issue.

The likelyhood is, its not something that can't be rectified with alot of willpower .

Go get yourself fixed fella.  The longer you live it, the more you'll stress.  Could be a simple virus, allergy or similar?...
