What Was #1 When You Were Born?
« on: September 20, 2008, 11:21:53 pm »
This Day In Music...

A pretty cool site I found where you can enter your birthday and it will show you what was #1 on the US, UK, and AUS charts the day you were born.  For me, it was;

US: Magic-Olivia Newton John.
UK: The Winner Takes It All-Abba
AUS: Can't Stop The Music-Village People

Does this mean that I should be Gay?  :o
Donkey Kong High Scores:
1): 49,500
2): 35,600
3): 30,100
4): 29,400
5): 28,200

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I'm not sure which part of this troubles me most ...

The kids who think the number 1 songs that I liked as a kid were gay (I would suggest that I was getting more action than you, but maybe you were breastfed, so I could be wrong!)

The kids who can't remember the number 1 songs from when I was an adult (I probably was getting more action than you ... where did your mom live ?)

The fact that I chuckled to find two members posting who are older than I am (although they seem to be less grumpy).

It seems the Ozzies and the UK were heralding the occasion of the dawning of the new age, the true birth of the new millenia with,
My Sweet Lord - George Harrison

however in the US there was obvious support for certain factional denial, of
the second coming(tm)
One Bad Apple - The Osmonds

got COLOR codes from projects, post them here

add stuff to the uk wiki section

Tubeway Army was the band Gary Numan (the guy who performed "Cars") fronted till he ditched his bandmates for a synthesizer and a tambourine.

Young Girl has some disturbing lyrics - I cant believe they got away with it.  :P

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl
With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believe
You're old enough
To give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth, Oh,
Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know
That it is wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes, Oh,
So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here
Before I have the time
To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far, Oh,
Young girl

Sorry guys. Didn't mean to make ya'll feel too old.  ;D I hope that my age won't affect how my advice/thread participation is interpreted...

Where were you in '91?  That's apparently when Mauzy was born!  I was finished with college and married saving for our first house!

I was outta school, with a good paycheck, just detached from a failed engagement, living in a condo on the lake and going to all the hottest bars !   :woot

Sometimes I wish that Mauzy was a fetus again -- my life was really fun before he got here.

Did you know you can do this in Freebox right? It shows the top 10 and will let you play the tracks if you have them in your library. Just wanted to mention that.
