my mame isn't recognizing any kind of mouse input
« on: September 11, 2008, 09:30:18 pm »
ok so i'm trying to use a turbotwist 2 spinner for my 'cade, but my mame doesn't recognize any kind of mouse input period...  not the spinner, not a mouse, not my tablet. what gives?  is my tablet causing problems for my mame mouse funtion?  i've tried usb and ps2 inputs, restarting, everything.  the spinner causes my cursor to move along the X axis in windows but mame refuses to acknowledge it at all.

any help?

Yes.  In command-line prompt - you need to type "MAME -createconfig" or "MAME -cc".  This will create a MAME.INI in the same folder which MAME will read and you can use to adjust all items - rompaths, controller settings, video options...

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Look closer....

(Mame documentation is a great source of that exact sort of info...)
