I have an NS-FTV27. Not the same model # but it may help. What exactly are the default service menu values?

around 30 (less than flattering) posts on the wa6ati tech forum for this "piece of ...." er,  fine Chinese product....
u might dl the owners manual  @  www.insignia-products.com
i could put in a service manual request on the forum , and see what happens ?

ALWAYS record data settings BEFORE changing.  then u have a baseline to return to original settings  ;)

I will agree with that statement. Mines all f-up'd now. Every once in a while the sound goes out and you have to restart the TV in order to get it too work.  It may be going into a vert cab soon where I can supply my own audio.  27" 1942 would be cool...

This is how you get in the service menu http://sci.tech-archive.net/Archive/sci.electronics.repair/2005-07/msg01945.html. But it would not be the same for your model, but thanks anyway.

I got the owners manual, and nothing mentioned about service mode. And yeah its definitely not the best TV but it was giving to me for free. The guy said he only used it for about a month before he found out about the service mode and just randomly started changing setting. Then he never used it again. I tryed adjusting them myself, but just cant get the picture right. What really makes it a challenge is when you go into service mode menu 3 the picture turns black & white, and menu 3 is were all the settings are for the colors. So when changing the values you don't see the effect in real time, you have to exit service mode to see the change. That's the dumbest thing i ever seen, its like having i blind guy adjusting your TV. Anyways "GRZ" if you can post a request for the service manual on that forum you were talking about that would be great. And i tried calling insignia tech support and the tech acted like i had no idea what the hell i was talking about. I think ill try calling again and maybe ill get a better tech on the line this time. Anyways thanks for the help.

translation :
(still) no replies to date .
remaining option would be to purchase the service manual ( if available)
