WG K7100 Series + AVGA
« on: April 07, 2008, 07:44:32 pm »
Just picked up a converted Killer Instinct cabinet that I'm MAME'ing.

It has a k7100 series monitor.

Some basic testing with the AVGA card shows minor white lines going horizontally (that are about 1/2" long) moving diagonally downwards on the screen.

With the original JAMMA game in there, this isnt evident at all. I played around with some alligator clips grounding the PC to the monitor chassis and the picture improved GREATLY, but isnt yet perfect.

Whats the best way to ground the PC to the monitor to avoid all ground loop issues (what this looks like)

Should i connect a black wire in the PC molex to the green wire into the monitor (ground)?

I am using the Ultimarc VGA cable which has all the grounds in the cable already, and was pre-harnesses for a WG monitor.

Thx
