Hi Guys... I know that there has been a few postings regarding yoke impedance and the cost of an inductance meter here is a link to a very stable and useful meter. Check it out
http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/3394Now if you are going to check the inductance of a yoke here are some pointers"
- power off the monitor
- unplug the yoke from the board
- Red and blue usualy horizontal
- Green and yellow (sometimes brown) vertical
- for Horizontal expect around 1 to 1.5 if CGA, .5 to ,75 for mid-res, ,24 to .32 for VGA or tri-res
- .18 to .2 for SVGA and higher
Millihenry by the way
Vert will be any where between 6 and 34
you must have this before trying to order a replacement board... if not your supplier needs to be educated.
Hope this helps.
