Okay. It's Sunday so it's time for me to post another good recipe for some grubbing. Today, it's another take on a pizza because one, I love pizza, and two, it makes a great appetizer or snack for watching a game on TV.
1): Take an 8-inch pizza crust and let it come to room temperature. Make sure you "pierce" the dough so that it doesn't bubble up. (If it's a pre-baked crust then you don't have to worry).
2): Put some garlic infused olive oil on a paper towel and rub down the dough top to infuse the flavor.
3): Start warming your oven up to a 400 degree temperature.
4): In a food processor, combine one jalapeno (with or without seeds. It's up to you.), four or five large baby bella mushrooms, one clove of roasted garlic, 1/2 of an onion that is slightly caramelized on the stove top, a tablespoon of olive oil, about a teaspoon of fresh ginger, four tablespoons of a good tomato sauce, a generous handful of shredded mozzerella cheese, and about an equal part of ground parmesean cheese.
5): Turn the food processor on and process until you get a consistant paste. This is the "sauce" for your pizza.
6): Take the pizza crust and put the freshly made paste/sauce onto it. Sprinkle some mozzerella cheese on there and put whatever toppings you want on there.
7): Put the pizza in the oven until the cheese melts and starts to brown.

: Take the pizza out, let it cool a bit, then cut it up and enjoy.
It's a unique modification to pizza with an odd asian/mexican type taste to it due to the ginger and jalapenos. A great little snack.
