Every day is a sad day in NJ.
They're trying to ban smoking in your own car.

I think smoking should be illegal all together, but its not as dangerous as using a cell phone

Hell last night me and the wife decided we are moving to North Carolina. We are so sick of NJ! Yes they are trying to ban almost everything you do in a car that takes attention away from the road. Not just smoking! Really the cost of cigarettes in NJ should be illegal. Anyway going to the main topic I got crap a few weeks ago from a cop because I was drinking in my yard. So what if it was in view of the puplic I got a corner lot. Unless I through up a stockade fence I got little options. Still on the plus side the cop got told to leave us alone by the two others that came. Those two were friends of ours :) It is nice to know ppl!

Any true New Jersey-an isn't going to let a "law" get in the way of being drung and belligerent in public.   ;D

And also, most NJ cops won't care enough to even enforce it... although they are a lot more of a nuisance down the shore.

Thats because you're too young to appreciate freedom.

I don't smoke, or live in NJ and the fact that they're doing that pisses me off. Give your rights and freedoms up just a little bit at a time to a nanny mentality and pretty soon you're losing big freedoms and the government controls your life.

In the boonies not only can you drink all day out on your back porch without the fear of the law... you can also get up and take a leak right off your porch without offending anybody.......

The best thing is in NC you can burn your own trash on your property and it is legal! As for area I plan to move around Fayetteville. We have already started looking at properties. Some nice large pieces of land down there! I payed 150,000 for a 1/4 acre here in Jersey I can get 4X that if not more in NC for half the price!

Well if that is the case then my in-laws are full of crap. Even if you can't burn leaves totally legal it has got to be better than here in Jersey! I was making a piont that it is more layed back in NC anyway.

I dunno about that.....I got a ticket a 3:45AM driving on the  Parkway for not putting my blinker when I changed from the middle lane to the the right lane. Its 3:45am in the morning, NO ONE WAS ON THE DAMM ROAD EXCEPT FOR THIS PIG. Till to this day, I get so pissed everytime I bring it up. Did you know that it a 2 points on you license ? Yes, Driving on Parkway, Turnpike, Atalntic City are the only 3 places that will get you 2 points for changing lane without using you blinkers.

Wait till you start driving USSEnterprise. What you got another 3 years or 2 ? And not even mentioning CAR INSURANCE, what a bunch of RIP OFFS.

You caught one of two things:

1) A jerk cop that had nothing better to do than hassle you to make himself feel good (which are everywhere, not just NJ)

2) A cop who didn't meet his quota and needed to write something up.

But really... 3am or not, how hard is it to use a blinker?  I can't stand people who don't use blinkers.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.
