Virtua Tennis
« on: April 13, 2005, 07:21:52 am »
I just recieved a Virtua Tennis CD that
I'm going to be using in my cabinet -

Is it wrong to ask here if anyone knows of any patch files
for the game that will disable CD access?
I really really really dont want to have the CD loaded
in the CD rom every time I want to play it.

If I'm breaking any rules asking for this, let me know and
we can just delete this thread.....

TIA
...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

You first have to copy(create a 1:1 image) the cd to your hard drive. I would suggest using Alcohol 120%, you can do a google search and get it. Alot of the people here then use Daemon Tools to mount the image of the cd, basically creating a virtual cd drive with the image you created. I use this method on my son's computer so he doesn't have to constantly handle CDs since he's 6 years old.

I'd like to hear what other folks recommend for virtual CD Drive setup. I don't have it yet but I WILL acquire Wing Commander: the Kilrathi Saga and I assume it will want to "see" the CD's in the drive when I play. As my PC is mounted inside the cab, I don't want to have to go around and put in the CD's every time.

There's nothing illegal about this--we're talking about CD's we legally own.

I think he might be refering to:

He installed VT and it is asking to put the original CD in order to continue. All the games data/program are all installed in the HD and it just need to check the original cd then it does not need the cd to run. In that case you are looking for a NOCD patch. Google it and it will pop up.

its not illegal to have no-cd patches.

go to www.gamecopyworld.com  (not a game coping website).

They have all the patchs you need for almost every game and Virtua Tennis. I just checked.

The new Offical Doom 3 Patch v1.2 has the NO-CD installed on it.

Just look under GAME INDEX for you patch.

Yeah... NOCD patch.. thats what I was getting at.
I guess I dont need a virual drive set up for the game, I just
want to overlay a file or whatever it takes to keep the CD ROM from
accessing....

thanks.  I'll check it out.
