Is there program to launch MAME and JukeBox???
« on: November 19, 2002, 08:12:34 am »
Is there a program or menu utility which can be mapped to control button keys to select either JukeBox, MAME, or other program during computer boot-up in DOS????

Or do i have to write a "cheesey" batch program in my autoexec.bat file????

Thanks

I use GLauncher, and added DOSCab Jukebox as a menu entry.  You can do this with any DOS program; I did this with the jukebox, the DOS versions of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, and another DOS game that works well in the cabinet.

Most front ends should have some way of launching an application instead of a MAME ROM.

Chris, do you have a keyboard installed in your Cab ? i ask this because of Dragon's Lair (DOS). It ask for Codes before you can proceed to play. I also have this game and DL:3 and Singes Castle, and I hvae been looking for a bypass for the codes, so I don't need the Keyboard to type them in.

I have the Epicenter/Readysoft version; it doesn't ask me for any code...
