1.  Contact the seller and tell them what you are doing so they know what is going on.

2.  Give the money order number to the seller to see if they have recieved it and maybe it was a clerical mistake.

3. Track the money order through post office.

4.  See if the money order has been cashed. if so who cashed it.

What will take a few weeks to track?  The money order?  No freakin way.  All they have to do is type the tracking number in the pc and it will say where it was delievered to.

Call the seller.  Tell him it's cool, you are on it.

I got a guy that hasn't mailed me a payment for an auction that ended 2 weeks ago.  Maybe it was you????

I would have been cool about it if he had emailed me first but he did not.

turns out the money order was on his desk and he had already mailed the game pads to me Monday. Here is his email
(  this is after I sent a heated email)

"Weird, I have it marked down that your package was shipped out Monday and I found your MO on my desk, but you weren't marked as paid on eBay, you are now.  Sorry about that, luckily it didn't delay your order."

I replied It would have been nice if he had just sent me a email 1st.
this is his responce.

I tried just contacting people first a couple of times, but the way eBay is set up if I send a friendly reminder then for some reason I lose the option to get my money back for the fees; maybe there's another way to do it that I haven't figured out yet.  I guess the reminder is kind of harsh, people do tend to get mad when they get that.

I think that's strange. I am upset that the auction now cost me 2x the amount it was supposed to just because he failed to do his part on his end.
It my only be a few dollars but still I did my part and his failure cost me.

It is to Ebay satisfaction. I got a email saying problem solved.
I fell he should send a 2nd set of game pads since I had to spend the $3.00 for the tracking of the money order (that is how much he sells them for ) and with gas prices the way they are 1/4 tank of gas to the post office. Witch equals the amont he charged for shipping.
I paid 2 times the amount becouse he messed up.
I told him if he don't I would have no choice but leave a negative feed back

He has many listing for them.

I dunno man. He was hasty in his notice, but you were hasty in tracking the MO instead of waiting for contact...

I gotta agree.  For $3.00 when the item itself cost that much, I would have provided the guy with the info, and waited.  You know you did your part.

I will take your advice.
but could he not have contacted me first?
from his email I got the impression he has done this mistake before.
He stated people seem to get upset with the non payment letter.
here is what the letter looks like

I don't know why you freaked out. That letter sounds no different than a "hey your bill payment is late" type of notice any utility might send. They said it "MAY" count as a strike against you "IF" you haven't paid. And they were giving you 7 days to resolve the matter.

You panicked and spent $3.  ::)

NO MORE!!

Yes, he panicked.  Then again, its probably not nice to get an email saying HEY PAY YOUR BILLS OR ELSE when the seller made the mistake.  He received the money order and failed to do his part.  I think he should send you another controler or two, but if you pay shipping.  That would be fair :)

I have decided school cost money... I learned from this lesson.. I will not panic next time and take my time. (I hope never to have a next time)
I will give him a positive feed back if the game pads are in good shape and over look the mater.
thanks for all the help guys. scared the crap out of me
