Problems With Alien Storm!
« on: March 04, 2005, 09:25:00 am »
Hi guys

I have downloaded all the editions of alien storm (i.e. 2-player, Japanese version, World version) you get the picture. The problem I have is as follows firstly the bootleg copy which is supposed to work does not emulate properly the colours are all distorted and not clear @ all.

The other versions when loaded are missing the following files, I am NOT requesting these files but does anyone know where I can locate them? Are they bios files?

The missing files are below

Heh.

Okay, you need the parent set. Do a Google search and I'm sure you can find it.

Lea

Both of this apply to to the same rule. NO ASKING FOR ROMS and NO ASKING WHERE TO GET THEM.

Anyway, it looks like you are using an older version of MAME. YOu need to find the ROMS for that Version of MAME or just use the latest version of MAME.
You can also use CLRMAME to sort out yourr ROMS for any version of MAME you are using.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the reply I am sorry for asking where to locate these roms it is just frustrating when you cannot get a game to work! (no harm intended).

I believe I am using the latest version of MAME. I have both M.A.M.E 32 and DOS M.A.M.E i only downloaded them two weeks ago. What difference would that make to the games then?

Thanks

Lea

here is the bugs about the game just in case you run into it.

Bugs:

In the ending, the 3 heroes are floating into a half bubble (see snapshot). astrombl236b4gre YMI
In the later shooting gallery stage (like inside the car shop and the factory (mission 3), there are some garbage graphics (sprites of death monsters that appear where they should not) astromb336b4gre YMI
At the end sequence of this game, some of the sprites shows wrong colors periodly. These also happens in System16 emulator. astormbl36b16gre Lord Caos
