How to enter custom clock values in AdvanceConfig / advcfg?
« on: January 25, 2005, 05:17:32 pm »
I'm trying to set up advancemame, and need to enter custom values for the pixel, horizontal, and vertical clock settings.  Trouble is, the program seems to require a forward slash, like so:"5-150 / 30.5-60 / 55-130"  but you can't enter a slash!! and you can't go on from there in the custom setting without giving it the right syntax.  Help a newbie out here?

Sure, but other people seem to have actually gotten advcfg to work... am I just 'special'?

That's what they give as a standard vga setting, but it chokes on all the tests if I use it.   Contrary to the instructions, no pc monitor manual I've ever seen gives the pixel clock settings, just vert and horizontal, so I've still no idea how people make this work.

Pixel clock is a graphic card property and got nothing to do with the monitor.
