velvet revolver - contraband
« on: October 29, 2004, 09:36:13 pm »
so i bought the cd today, listen to it in the car ok but when i get to work and try to play it on my win2k machine it wants to install some software before i can play it on my computer!  I shift/insert the cd to get around it but it still won't play...no way am i installing some junky software just to listen to a cd i paid good money for!
Long story short: Put it in my linux box (whammocade) at home and it was as if there was no protection to be found.  Ripped the .wav's and .mp3's, transferred it to my office pc and burnt my own cd.  Lousy $%^&*s!
Don't you hate it when you buy something and they try to tell you what you can and can't do with it!

they should have never took the PLAY button on the CD-Drives. I still have some of this drives that has the PLAY and skip buttons (to the next track).
This are good for stand alone (no PC needed) CD players. Just plug the speaker to the Headphone jack and crack up the volume in the CD-Drvive and speakers and BANG, its loud already.
