What's the best lightgun and wheel for PS2.
« on: October 29, 2004, 02:27:17 pm »
I have an old Data-East cab that I'm converting into a PS2 cab, but I'm not sure which guns I should use with the cab. I know that I should get one that is compatible with the Guncon2 gun, but are the ones with recoil worth getting??

Has anyone tried the wirelss versions?

Also which wheel should I pick up??

if you do a search, there should be one about lightguns..

just be carefull cuase timecrises 3 and timecrises crisis zone (machine gun one)  will only take usb guncun2.

i brought the gun i mention in a post you need to search for and time crises above didnt like it.  its still a great gun cause of games like point plank and psx game that i still enjoy.   i have those guns mounted on the side and when i need the namco offical guncon 2, i just take it out and plug it in... from my understanding, you can use a controller as a pedal (dont step too hard)  redocatne is selling it

as for the well

i still love the gt3 logitech sterring wheel... works on PC also

It's alright.  I am actually having a hard time acquiring the official namco guncon 2, which seems to be the best lightgun.  I managed to get the time crisis games for really cheap, but I cannot find a place to buy the gun at a reasonable price without a game.

I found a place that sells black GunCon2 guns, but they are $50 each. I want black guns but not that much.

I've seen a few that say they are compatible with GunCon2 games that have recoil, but can;t find any reviews. Maybe I need to start a blog about light guns.

Could you provide a link to the black guns?

Thanks for the offer, but I think the local gamestop's and eb's carry it for 59.99 which is what I may have to end up getting.

Here's a link to the black GunCon2. It's even cheaper than I had said earlier on this site.

Here's the one I really want to get, but I want to get the Redoctane reload pedal too. Looks like I'll have to sacrifice the cool looking pedal for recoil action. I hope they ship to the US.

A link to a review of the version without the laser

Here's a link to their wireless version (no recoil)

OK I just found this one with recoil and is USB. It says it's GunCon2 compatible.

I think I've seen this one on Ebay also

http://store.videogamecentral.com/ps2lo3liwg2c.html

and intrested in this here
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-n-70-1b5.html

is this for 2 players? or would i have to buy two.  the gun i have is sick but can't play TC3 nor Crises Zone with it.. I have many ps1 shooters which is 1 reason why i need a new gun (old one died) and it comes with pedal and recoil
