How do I save high scores?
« on: March 23, 2004, 09:49:14 pm »
Can someone do a step by step guide on how to make mame save high scores, it seems like some games save and some don't. I am using command line mame with mamewah. Thankyou.

thats how it is "Some games save, some games don't".

If its not supported, then it won't save. Always get the unofficial hiscore.dat file.

You need to download the Hiscore.dat to make a majority of the games save scores.  Get it here: http://www.mameworld.net/highscore/.  Put it in your MAME directory.

Some games require an additional file (NVRAM).  Get them here and put them in your MAME/Nvram/ directory.  http://www.mameworld.net/highscore/nvram.htm
