Blizzard moving into north east
« on: January 26, 2015, 10:06:47 am »
To all who live in the north east section of the USA, hope you bear the big winter storm moving in.
Hope you have stocked up on food and water, and have a backup heat system, because they are saying there could be wide power outages.
Good luck, hang in there, and keep the Faith!

Horribly unprepared.  Maybe I'll take the beef jerky and trail mix stockpile in my work desk drawer home with me.  :D

Looks like this was not the wolf the weatherman was crying, at least in most areas.
Any stories of the great snow(job) of 2015?

Nothing here.  Seemed like the storm moved east of Albany so we only got a couple of inches.

I live on the west coast and usually we get some bad/coldish weather. And here I am considering a weenie roast in the back yard. Bring your hoodie, just in case!

Here in Ky, since Monday, we have had up to 10 inches of snow. Temps have dropped down to -13 F.
Last night it got down to +1 F.
This is not normal for Ky.
They are calling for sleet and rain tonight. Rain tomorrow. More snow next weekend. Im ready for summer!!

you know you're a total geek when you read this thread title and suspect that it's about the WoW company establishing an office in New England....

It was 70F yesterday and there was still heavy snow on the mountains.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

It was -37C here a few days ago, and my newly installed HVAC (this summer, actually) fought a losing battle. We had it set for 22 degrees, and watched it drop over time to 14 degrees.

Raining today, so the snow is trying to melt. But its supposed to drop below freezing tonight so it will probably be hazardous driving with ice on the roads now.
