it will ignore error's...kinda a wdt thing from long ago , but they routed it out to a switch...
sw4/sw8 set to on is to force the mobo/game to do a master re-load

I wonder if ASUS A7N8X-VM/LA still works straight out the box with 2012/13/14. Last time i tried one was on 2009.

dipswitch 3 enables or disables the watchdog timer. it's supposed to monitor a signal from the board. if it stopped, it would reboot the machine. (kinda like a hard drive activity monitor)

there was a small change to some wire harnesses that rendered this line ineffective and thus has to be disabled on some of those boards.

that board did exactly as mike said 2-x reboot's and away it went...
had to re-config every thing, as it is a smaller form factor...
but hey....:):):)
