hi just a update,
i did the step by step setup in linux and told it not to chk the hardware.,
i still get warning failed to detect motherboard device.?
my question now is
when i look at the spec's of both board's
the video chip is all that is different.,do i just load the linux driver for the video chip ?
if so where and how ?

Ken Layton:
I've never had to setup a motherboard. If I've had any computer board problems, I take the whole machine to a computer store and let them work on it. Computers are not my area of expertise.
You might check out the countertop games section of the forum here:

It could be comparing the motherboard bios against a whitelist.

thk-u for your reply's
but it is what i thought..it would not mean setting the bios or such,
it would be compliing a kernel to take the different video chip..
pain in the "a" if u ask me,it is far easier just to replace it with 1 on there list
that they already did the leg work for,and get it back in the feild..
