I don't disagree.

He asked a HOW question, not an IF question.

The fact that he asked implies that he was not fully satisfied with the current setup.   :dunno

I cant quite remember if this idea was thrown out there but have you considered making the ball tops for your joysticks be a fire mushroom and a one up mushroom?  Just an idea.

the flag is perfect.  I wouldnt paint the "flag pole" but thats just me. I'd be too afraid it'd get nicked or scratched then I'd have to paint the whole thing again

It's not game accurate, but feeding some LED's up the bottom of those warp pipes and replacing the tops with some diffused plexi covers would look the shnizzle (I have followed pretty closely, but sorry if this was already mentioned).

Either way, build looks very cool, lots of attention to detail

I would of gots me some of these and put a rgb led through it for the pole.

White and green sheets of acrylic laser cut into the flag shapes and the skull to finish it off....

The acrylic would be too sticky. Mario won't be able to slide down it as easily.

Well considering he was going to paint it, i would think paint would be sticker than acrylic, I wasn't aware he was going to have a Mario figurine sliding up and down the pole.  You could also place felt on the touching parts of the figurine and it would slide all the same.

Just an idea though....considering the game has a multicolor pole...rgb would bring that authenticity to the table as well.

:lol  I could probably rig something up to get a moving Mario in there somewhere. But with the proportions of the flag... that'd be a bigass Mario.

We could try to find this dude's contact info and see if he's up for a little side work?

So once again, we find that evil of the past seeps into the present like salad dressing through cheap wax paper, mixing memory and desire.
