Side Art gone Bad

Hey all,


I made a DK from scratch and then after about 2 weeks, this happens to me.








Now, I put these on perfectly at the time.  No air bubbles, went nice and slow etc.
It seems like the artwork shifted like electrical tape might snap back after being stretched.
Also, the sides are lifting....
I making a new MAME cab with full side art and this CAN"T happen again.


Any Ideas?

heavy moisture in the air? Dehumidifier? permeable graffix printing? I have not used this guy but I'm really thinking about it.

Where did you have your art printed, what material?  From some of that pinching it doesn't look like vinyl.  You can use a needle and a brush to lay down those bubbles.  Did you wet mount or dry mount?  If you're doing a full wrap you can tuck the vinyl into the t-molding channel to prevent lifting of the edges providing you print a skirt.

This looks like it could be a combination of 2 things...cheap printable media and possibly your paint was not fully dried.  Most printable media comes with good adhesive, but the cheaper films especially films made for temporary (1 year durability) use do not.Try warming the film with a heat gun carefully and poking a small hole in the film to get the air out.  Then try heating the film all around and see what happens.  I am on the hyperspin forums and the material I sell is a 7-10 year outdoor film, which means indoor will last as long as your surface lasts.  Here is my link http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?14155-Decals-and-Printing-for-your-HyperSpin-Cabinet if you would like to give my material shot.  Have some videos of the material being applied to my own cabinet in the thread.  Good luck and try heating the film carefully to try and salvage your print

ya just poke an air hole in it
then do as was talked about..a tad of low heat should shrink it right back

I believe I got it done by Mikes Arcade.  Thanks for the wrapping suggestion!  I might have to try that one out.
