Lucasarts closed down.

Didn't see any other thread on this so apologies if there is.  But RIP Lucasarts,  I shall continue to have fond memories. In the meantime I found a Eulogy for them which is quite nice.   http://imgur.com/a/0fIIt#NCI1ACR

What was your Favourite Lucasarts game/games,  For me it was Xwing vs Tiefighter & Full Throttle.

Any Scumm Game I loved back in the day. Maniac Mansion is still my absolute fav, but I love Zak McKracken and the Monkey Islands.

Dark Forces.

Shooting Stormtroopers?  The reason that I bought my Pentium 60.  I still have the game.

I was saddened to see that Disney closed them down.

The super star wars games, and shadows of the empire.  You know, any of the mid 90's games that weren't garbage like the more recent ones and weren't non-games like the p-a-c scumm stuff.  ;)

End of an era for sure.

For me, the favorites were Day of the Tentacle, Sam 'n Max, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Dark Forces, Jedi Knight.... so many good games back in the day.

The last game I cared for was Republic Commando.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

I am (no surprise) a die hard MI fan but I think my favorite single gaming experience out of LA was Grim Fandango.  Man, that title needs a facelift.

Lucas Arts closing is a good thing.

It was dying a death for many years.

All the best companies have their peak and die out.

I have all the original LA games here on my P233 laptop, captured for all eternity.

Especially Tie Fighter!  ;D

Last time I checked some of them were available on GoG and play on Windows 7 Comps just fine.
