Wolf Themed Scrap Build - Super Scrappy
« on: April 05, 2013, 03:40:09 am »
Built this thing from literally next to nothing. No parts were bought specifically for this machine. Wood was scrap from a customer build, laptop was getting thrown away next-door, buttons were ripped off a dead cabinet that a customer had, T-Molding was extra left over, etc & etc. Nothing impressive but I like to share pictures.

Decided on some generic art to go on it so it could sell quicker. Selling it for a discounted price at $425 (Normally 1-PLayer is $500) because of some things I didn't like about it cosmetically.

Cheers

You might call it "super scrappy", but you've come a long way since your first bartop! Definitely honing your skills. :applaud:

good day.

Cory's still building it, so it's cool if he shares them. Besides, did you see those pieces of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- (no offense, bro  ) he USED to make? It's been great to see his evolution as a builder.

All true Yotsuya. When I started all I had was a $20 Jigsaw and a crappy drill, to make straight cuts I would drill a ruler into the wood and use that as a guide for the jigsaw. I have no invested hundreds of moneys in proper tools, as well as T-molding expenses and all the other tid-bits like marquee retainers and what not.

Anyways the compliments are very nice, so thank you all.

I don't have a sig. Maybe you mean my avatar? It comes from this. It's kind of an inside joke with double dragon fans

You're bartops are getting much better. You should consider putting up a website or facebook page to catalog your work if you continue to sell them.

Yea that reference went way over my head.....

I was thinking about throwing up a website real quick with photos and video. Might do that a bit later. I am not out to make a ton of money, just replace some of my every day work with something I enjoy. Solving puzzles is my favorite past-time, and this hobby creates a bunch.

If you aren't going to have many pages and aren't going to edit pages constantly then the best solution is to design a quick, flat html website and then use some code to pull photos from either a facebook or instagram gallery. This way all you ever update is your facebook or instagram gallery.

Came up with this solution during a conversation with a guy considering re-designing his tattoo shop website. He was being charged hundreds of dollars each time he simply wanted a photo put up on his gallery.

YES! I would love to see that! XD :duckhunt

Heck, I've got a little foam core Polybius model that I might turn into Three Scrappy Moon if I make a nicer Polybius, too. XD

- SOLD -

Guy came buy and fell in love with it, brought his kid (4 year old) and he was jamming on it as well.

Also got a commissioned job out of him as well, going to build him a Mini\Cabaret like I did for the street fighter one and for my nephew.
