Marquee design help and cabinet name
« on: February 11, 2013, 12:55:04 am »
Hello all!

I have been lurking for a while now and have to say I have taken in a bunch of info that has helped my project go smooth so far and wanted to say thanks!

But I am running into some dead ends right now. First I need to figure out a good name for my arcade. I have tried but am horrible at coming up with names, haha. And lastly I need help with the Marquee design/ideas. I am willing to pay to get a design made if thats the route I need to go.

Just a brief description of my cabinet -

First of all it is a Kray Vewlix Mame style cabinet and I am planning on painting it with a dark silver metallic paint to make it pop a little more then just a base silver color. And for the control panel and maybe a few accent pieces I am going to cover with 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber film. And for the buttons i went with the UltraLux RGB buttons to add some added flash to the cabinet.

Mainly looking for a name and maybe it will help with coming up with a marquee design.

Thanks,
Craig

With the dark silver/carbon look, I imagine it to have a "strong" sounding name.
What is your favorite genre of games? If fighters, what about "Mean Machine"? Or if you like classics "The Vault"? Or smups; "Blazing Iron". How does tat sound?

When designing your marquee and control panel, keep in mind that the art is meant to attract people. If the cab is very dark overall, some well placed colors can really make a difference!

Thanks for the ideas! For some reason " The Vault " seems like a solid choice for my cab. I can go many ways with the graphics.
