Emulators with a rotate option
« on: January 27, 2013, 02:17:30 pm »
My arcade is a cocktail type; with a widescreen TV; to a player the screen is in a vertical orientation. Mame works like a charm with the 90 degree clockwise rotation setting.
I'd like to play other games on the cab as well so I'm looking for a list of emulators or recommendations for emulators supporting a similar feature.

I haven't been able to find a commandline .exe that allows me to rotate Windows from portrait to landscape. Having Windows in landscape mode for other things is preffered (my collection of Steam games with a USB joypad for example).

So what emulators can you recommend? Is it possible to emulate Dreamcast and Amiga games for example with a rotate switch? So far my Google-fu has failed me :-(

Check Griffindodd's MvsC Revolution build, he did some "on the fly" rotation of the Win Enviro in there that worked out very well.

Thanks LeChuck!

Giffindodd in Google and this came up:

With this tool being exactly what I'm looking for. Tested it in Win7 and worked like a charm!
