So the wife has to work tonight and the little ones have church. I was suppose to grill a couple of steaks on the BBQ but I figurered if I cooked them in the oven I might be able to get some sanding done on the cab. I put the steaks in the oven on broil and went out to the garage to get a look at the cab. Then I started an album up on SKJukebox from back when I was 14, Picked up some sandpaper and went to work. Rockedout to BEASTIE BOYS ILL COMMUNICATION for 51 minutes before I remembered the steaks in the oven. Ran back into the house (which was smoked out) and thank God no fire. The dog was actually sleeping on the kitchen floor. I always knew he was useless.

everybody has smoke detectors...it's just a matter of:

A: they go off when you have a shower and/or you are a terrible cook so you took the batteries out.

B: The batteries are dead.

when it really comes down to it, i guess we all would rather die horribly than listen to that screeching unnecessarily.

Hell no.  I am anal about my smoke/CO2 detectors.  When we were preparing for Hurricane Sandy I swapped out all of my detectors because of the possibility I was going to be heating the house with a kerosene heater I had just bought.  It is rated for indoor use but I'm not taking that chance.  Few things are easier to install/manage than smoke detectors.  Do it!

Stop making excuses!  Test them and check their expiration dates already!  We'll wait here while you do it.

me a heads up in the event of danger, But after the lazy dog thing I not so sure anymore.

Sooooo a rabbit would do WHAT exactly to warn you in the event of a fire, or pretty much any emergency?

I find a lot of people are very anal about only eating their steak one particular way. I will eat any steak from pouring out blood all the way to tough as leather. Keeps things interesting.
