having problems some of the games i need to change to vertical is cause they only work that way on my lcd it was easier in arcadeos but since i changed my front end to advmenu i cant seem to rotate them it says i can do each game seperate in advmame configuration file but not sure how. i built a cocktail cabinet so i can play hor or vert games i need your help

gameROMname/display_ror yes
or
gameROMname/display_rol yes
you could do this per game name.

maybe the game you reffering is missing or incomplete etc....
you can add manually to try to see or use the same version of MAME and verify your ROM is good.
Adding manually.... Edit the Gamelist.RC (forgot the exact filename) and see how advmenu do it and just make one with the GAMEROm you wanna test.

another problem how do I play a avi file just before advmenu loads I saw a mame lightening avi which looked cool can I do it

use batch file
if using pure DOS insert it in your Autoxec.bat file before ADVMENU
ex:
@echo off
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (ALL STUFF)
REM Below to execute the Avi Program for the Intro.Avi you like
AVI_PLAYER_FOR_DOS INTRO.AVI
