note to admin: sorry if this is in the wrong thread, i couldnt find mamewah stuff under the support section?

Im looking to use a frontend for building an arcade. Originally, i was using Puppy Arcade, but im not particularly experienced with linux and couldnt get it to really work for me. Then i heard about MameWah, and it seemed to be the solution to what i was looking for; namely a frontend where i dont have to use pc-like interface (ie mouse/keyboard) to navigate to the emulators etc.

It wasnt till i went to post my MameWah error report that i noticed on this site that there are other options for frontends, so i will keep an open mind to those.

HOWEVER. i was really attracted to the apparent customization options MameWah supports, in particular designing menus through photoshop. When i tried to set mamewah up per this youtube video:

it crashed the heck out of my computer; my desktop background changes to a black screen, my resolution resorts to native and i basically cant get it back to normal without unplugging my computer.
I updated all the drivers or w.e, my direct X is up to date, so i have no idea what could be causing it.

Any help would be welcome, and if there is another frontend available that offers similar customization options such as photoshopping my own menus, if would be open to recommendations there as well!

Does your monitor even support 640x480?
