Stupid question...I just downloaded and installed mIRC and wanted to know when you (Ed) gets everything online the "channel" we are using will be called "PGA" or will it be ">PGA<" as I'm not certain if that makes a difference.  New to mIRC, never used it before and I know how sensitive computer programs can be!

no i really have not posted anything this week
the reason is simple,let me try to explain
on my pga's there is 3 different coin accepter's
cash-flow-330/sr5'and a goffie 1,
of that the cash-flow >by far bar none< the best,is a 3 channel output job
where the other's are single output..sound's simple enough right ??
convert to the single output job right ?.problem is u need to rewire...
thus time/money..etc.etc.  and in the feild this will not work or bold well,or find a fix
welp i i found a fix..so i am testing the fix...
thus why no updtate's

now onto the server...my pga is called ed's_personal_pga << rem that...
channel is called pga
to ping bot it is !files
to obtain file's it is !the name of the file u want
to serv into !ed's_personal_pga u must MUST type that exact line
and u go real time,please try not to tie up my b/w to much
this is all done through the private channel
now rem rule's
a=aboustley no dialup
b=hook to the lan port of your putter .. d/l the driver called >>>lan.pga.ini<<<,it will auto setup your lan,sit back relax..it take's a byte to load
c=t10 or t100 is fine >u are comming into a tierabyte router
d=u can cuss between each other,as i do not monitior that
e=u CANNOT pass porn PERIOD it will not be ALLOWED AND U WILL BE ADDY BANNED
i think these are fair and simple enough to understand

Hi Ed, should we be downloading these files from the PGA machine pc or is it ok to download to another pc such as laptop and then copy the files over to the PGA pc later?

  First off Thank you for all your work.I am confused I have a machine thai is owned by a customer who wants his tower back and is getting very inpatient with me on not getting it done,so bottom line is I am confused on what the server is for, playing on lan or getting files.Are you creating new iso disc of the game so every thing is unlocked so we can change video cards,play with no dongle,unlock courses and players.It seems you change direction so much I am not sure whats going on.

how is it confusing ?
i set out server rule's
set out bot rule's
cvn53 i shipped the plug u wanted
u on the other hand do not require it to do the work on the pga,as it olny is used for control input stuff >roller-ball/left-hook/right-hook/coin-in/fly-over/etc,<
these can be done by shuting the nessary control line to ground
hence testing,for normal play it would be handy...but as i do run test's
i have done just that >shunted to ground<
now if u are getting donggle error's,player card error's,that a full new set of thing's
as i pointed out to dirt u can just run a new.ini file
ie >control< which in fact tell's the game it dose not need the player's card to run
and or the donggle to open up
i cannot make that any clearer,as i have been explaining the file's are to big to up-load here,hence the reason for a mirc,+the fact u can play real time...neat little ad on
eh ?,the main reason for irc is this thread is getting to cloudly to beable to follow

I've never used mirc.  I created an account there so what do I do next?  That's the issue I am having.

it is is it's own server
ie  if u hook up..u get a list,or u can creat a list of your own,so if u do not want to go
to let's say irc\fxchat.net << server u clear it out of the list
and add in >>gobalpga.net or .org where ever it land's,i will post open channel the addy,just REM it is PRIVATE AND PASSWORD PORTECED....these are the real thing's u need to know,if i find nessary i will KEY IT,which means u will need to know the server/channel/password/key to enter
from there u, as i explained very clearly are in ,
 to obtain file's u first :ping the bot: >>!<< so >>!list<< then u type >>!filename<<
this will give u the files's u tpyed in,so let's say >>!resuce disk 4.1<that is exactley what u will get..they are served real time
TO play on line real time
again !ed's_personal_pga places right into my personal pga,all u are doing is
is TELLING the file server >bot< where u a going,as i do not have a crystal ball..
the bot olny oversee's for me >>server<<,u are routed to the nessary stuff
now all of this is done through the bottom bar..u c it in mirc as a small bar across the bottom of the main window >like windows< in ie6.,it is blank to all other user's expect
pga bot >me<
in the irc option's..setup i allow cussing
but no porn that is set to option explict on..:flase: and the rule is hoof-kick-ban-addy-ban,
u can chat the bot
by typing !pga_chat,again it will give u a list of q's and answer's
so let's say u have a donggle problem..u would type
in the open channel..!pga_chat_donggle..from there u will get a list
of answer's to the most common problem,if u cannot find the answer then ask real time,i will c it and respond..
TO the time limt on irc it is olny a nag
if u do not feel the that u donot want to spend $20.00 then by all mean's do not
i did because i love mirc,it by far is 1 of the best file server's i ever came across
if u have then fine so be it,i care less

to find help swapping video card's in the pga's,i had no idea it would go this far

I don't want to turn this into an mirc tutorial thread but when I launch mirc and do this

1- select "FILE"
2- select "SELECT SERVER"
3- select "ADD"
4- in the "Description" field I enter "PGA"
5- in the "Server" field I entered "gobalpga.net" &  "gobalpga.org" and received a message on both attempts stating "unable to resolve server" (I figured this was a spelling error in your post so I then attempted "globalpga.net" & "globalpga.org" (the letter "L" was missing in the first two) and received the same message on both attempts "unable to resolve server".  I then entered "ed's_personal_pga" in the server field as I saw that mentioned in an earlier post and received the same "unable to resolve server" message.

I notice there is a couple fields that are blank such as "password".  I notice that you said that the server is password protected but I don't remember getting a password.  I'm thinking I'm just being an idiot and missing something or not fully understanding how I'm supposed to connect to the server and I'm posting this here in the event someone else is in my shoes and another member can help us out.  I don't want to throw this thread off topic so if this is not the place for this post I do apologize.

I can't wait to get these files...I just can't quite get there!

OK, so this will not come to a surprise to anyone I'm sure but I have no idea what this updated info means.  So no mIRC at this point?  I don't think I'm going to follow this for a while because every time I try to play catch up it seems that something else changes.  I appreciate the work, Ed, I really really do.  I will check back with this thread in the future when you guys have everything rolling.  Can't wait to golf with you all!

if your box is working right
it will stall on card reader,and ask u to hit start,once u have done that it should go to course's screen <display>,the start switch is your !!key!!
even if u do not hit that  button
the thing after about 30 sec's should go to game mode
all default's of course

service is a simple wire to ground it is a >white wire<
it will put u into the service mode
u will see the screen >loading< please wait
from there,track-ball and >start< are your buddy's

to turn thing's on and off,u need to edit hercules
ie turn cmd's on or off in real time
before the program can even load
u would do this to add thing's:.dll's/.ocx's:-remove a call/add a call,

it is on it's own..not your regular mirc,but linked

2=file size
3=the fact we will be decussing gobalvr,it's gaming and a few other's

yes, you need to pretty much put as many fans as you can on this rig, the damn things will overheat like that *snaps fingers*

keep an eye on them too, if they seize up...it's as good as gone.

Sounding very exciting cant wait for it to be all up an running Ed great work mate. I think my graphics card might might be dieing aswell. It has seized up a few times. Have bought new nVidia AGP card but game doesn't like.  Need to get that work around Ed of you so I can install and game will except. Please advise?

 I thought you told me not to send the HD. Sorry I misunderstood. I can send it to you but if you can just reload to another HD that would be quicker. Canadian or USA version, I don't care as long as it works in my machine. I trust your judgment. Whatever you need to do to it to get it working and upgraded to all access is fine with me. And again, thank you so much for all your help.

Hello Ed.

Hope all is going well with you.  I thought I would check in to see if you have made any additional progress regarding PGA?

Had to replace a power supply on my cab today.  Upgraded to 520 watts and it's running like a champ.  It was a mess getting to the power adapter.  So many wires that were tied off and I couldn't get to some of the connections without some removal of internal parts.  It felt like having to remove the engine of a car to replace the battery.  I'm happy it's done and looking forward to doing some software modifications now.
