Control panel size

That is a stroller wheel. I am going to cut the length down to 36 inches. The height and depth of the box is 14"x14"

you can definitely go much shallower - 6" from bottom to top clear inside is plenty for almost any controls.  Older spinners are about the deepest components you are going to see.
