Are you asking where to get the ROMs? If so, that's not allowed.

Welcome

Easy Steps:

1. A PC
2. Download MAME
3. Find/Get ROMS
4. Read DOCS on how to use/install MAME and don't forget the WIKI. Quick way to get a game running in mame is   MAME ROMNAME  (ENTER)
5. Get MAME running on 1 or 2 games. This is a test that everything is set.

If you're not a COMMAND PROMPT execcuting dude, you may need  MAME (GUI)

Fun Begin Steps:
1. Hunt for a Empty Cabinet
2. Get the Hardware such as Encoders, Monitors controllers etc...
3. Read on Basic Wiring
4. Install all hardware in the cabinet

Bottom Line: You may think your done at this point but you're wrong. I have my cab for more than 6-7 years and I'm still not Done  ;D
I get to play now with my cab but it really never got finish.

Lastly:
Enjoy and learning will take some time and patience.

A Core 2 Dou might even be an overkill for the two games you mentioned.

So, it all depends what you are going to run.

There are Games that even the TOP END PC might not/close to running that game.

Maybe by the time you start doing work on a Cabinet and finishin git, those games in MAME that runs slow might run better then.

I run/play mostly Classics. So my Core Dou is ok with those games and I'm using an old version of MAME.
As MAME gets Newer/Updated, sometimes the games that run good in an OLDER version might not SLOW in the Newer/Updated version.

MAME is a DOCUMENTATION PROJECT. Playing games on it is just a BONUS.
Just take your time learning what MAME is and reasons why GAMES RUN BEFORE and when NEWER is used, it RUN SLOW or not at all.

It's a never ending HOBBY/PROJECT.

Good Luck

Everything Thenasty said still applies if you want to run them via MAME.

thanx Thenasty. just going to read up on MAME and hopefully get things started asap. in order to save money do you recommend buying a used or new computer. i am looking to have a 24" monitor in it when time to build.

For those games, you can use a VERY old computer. You could probably get one free (or close to it) that can run those. Just make sure to use an older version of MAME.

You can use DOS if you're only playing those two games.

Well then it looks like you don't need a PC or MAME anymore.

Man. Anyone else think that those are expensive boards for such an old game? I was planning on sellling my Marvel v Capcom game, both A and B boards for 100 bucks. Thats a fair price right?
Pictures are overrated anyway.

Buy the arcade boards.

but once you have the boards how do you get roms from them? is there a device or cord you can hook up to the arcade to a computer? or a website you can download them from by giving the board serial number as a password or something?
